Poljorad cream cheese, also known as kajmak, is a traditional cheese specialty often used in Balkan cuisine. This semi-hard tilsit cheese is prepared from pasteurised milk and fermented with carefully selected lactic acid bacteria. The result is a creamy and spreadable cheese that can be eaten on its own as well as part of warm and cold dishes. Kajmak is often served with bread, meat dishes or grilled vegetables and can also be used as a flavour enhancer in sauces. Thanks to its versatility, this cheese is suitable for a wide range of serving moments, from breakfast to dinner.
